Walmart reaches deal with Paramount to offer its streaming service to subscribers

Walmart Inc (NYSE: WMT) has reached a deal with Paramount Global (NASDAQ: PARA) to offer its streaming service to Walmart+ subscribers, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
Walmart+, which was launched two years ago, offers free grocery delivery and gas discounts to its subscribers.
According to the report, Walmart+ subscribers will get access to Paramount+’s “essential” tier, which costs $4.99 per month and includes commercials.
Walmart has not provided information regarding the number of subscribers for Walmart+, but according to estimates by market research firm Consumer Intelligence Research Partners, Walmart+ has 11 million customers as of July.
