At least eight Russian warplanes were damaged or destroyed by enormous explosions that occurred on Tuesday at Russia's Saky airfield in Crimea, according to satellite footage from Planet Labs
According to the Ukrainian air force, at least nine grounded Russian aircraft were destroyed.
The Kremlin has denied that any planes were harmed in the explosions, which it claims resulted in one fatality, 14 further injuries, and damage to neighboring homes.
Analysts claim that satellite imagery strongly implies a targeted strike, even though Russia has dismissed the idea, CNBC reported.
